Are the earrings heavy to wear?

No, not at all! I know that statement earrings are typically associated with that annoying dragging on your ears, but not these statement earrings, baby! They all weigh less than a gram, regardless of how large or detailed they are.

What type of metal is used for the earrings?

All of my pieces are made with sterling silver plated findings. These are nickel-free, and while this means they are hypoallergenic for most people, those with highly sensitive ears should still exercise caution!

Do you make clip-on earrings?

Sadly, I don't currently make clip-on earrings and I don't have any plans to start. There just isn't enough demand for this at the moment, but never say never!

How fragile are the earrings?

Most of my pieces are very robust. I'm not saying you couldn't break them if you wanted to, but dropping them shouldn't do any damage. The only earrings that are quite delicate are the sunflowers and daisies - those with protruding petals. They should be fine if treated with love and care! I've had mine for a couple of years, and they're still in perfect condition.

Do you only sell earrings online?

No, I also sell at markets all around Scotland! This is one of the most wonderful things about what I do, as I get to meet such cool people and make great friends. I am also blessed to now have a few local businesses that stock my designs.

I bought earrings at a market but it wasn't you who was selling them...

You probably met my mum! She often steps in to help out when we have to divide and conquer, but she tends to tag along to most markets to keep me company anyway. I also have a best friend and my two pretend wee sisters who have been known to help out too. I've got some really cool people on my side!

I missed you last time you came to my town! Will you be coming back?

All my upcoming market dates are listed on the 'Upcoming Events' page, which can be found on the main menu. You can also follow me on social media or sign up for our newsletter to be the first to hear of events I've booked!

Can I buy the earrings in shops?

Yes, select All Ears designs are currently available in The Foraging Goat, which is an artisan greengrocer in Haddington, East Lothian. I am so pleased that we get to work together, as I think this is one of the most beautiful shops I've ever seen, and I am honoured that they want to stock my work! The earrings on sale in the shop are usually either a small selection from the catalogue or designs that are exclusive to/specifically for The Foraging Goat.

The earrings I wanted are sold out! Will they be restocked?

Oh no, I'm sorry! Because every design is made by hand in small batches, the different styles available to order rotate very frequently. I can't promise anything, but if your favourites have sold out, send me a wee email through the contact form, or contact me through social media. I bring back popular designs all the time, so I will see what I can do!

How will my earrings be shipped to me?

I send all orders with Royal Mail, by First Class post.

Where is my order being shipped from?

I am based in East Lothian in Scotland.

How long have you been making earrings for?

I've been making earrings since July 2020, so three and a half years so far. Starting was absolutely the best idea I've ever had.

So, did you go to art college then?

Definitely not - I studied Primary Education! I'm not a teacher obviously, but there's too many reasons for that to explain... Let's just say I found this wee niche by accident, and while I still don't consider myself to be an arty person, polymer clay has brought me more joy than anything else ever has - except maybe my dog.

How long does a pair of earrings take to make?

This is possibly my most frequently asked question! Unfortunately, I don't have a simple answer for you. The earrings that take the longest to make are ones like my Christmas Wreaths, or Fairy Doors, which are all done individually; they take probably about two hours per pair to make. Others like the dangly sunflowers take less time, maybe half an hour per pair in total!

Do you ever teach workshops in polymer clay?

This is not something I have ever done because to be honest, I don't think I'm any authority on the subject... I feel like I'm just making it up as I go! But you know... maybe one day!

Where can I find you on social media?

All Ears is on Facebook and Instagram! You can find the links to these by clicking the wee icons at the bottom or top of this page, or search @all_ears.earrings on both platforms to find us on your apps.

Why aren't you on TikTok?

*sigh*

Because I just can't bring myself to do it.
